THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) yesterday pressed charges against a man allegedly caught with P1.2 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Iponan here at around 5 pm on Sunday.

PDEA regional   director  Wilkins  Villanueva identified the suspect as Nassif Usma, 30, of Regency Subdivision, Iponan, this city.

Villanueva said the suspect yielded eight heat-sealed sachets of suspected suspected  shabu. The substance weighed some 600 grams.

The PDEA said its agents also seized the suspect’s Toyota Fortuner with license plates AAR- 9227, some P5 thousand in marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Usma was charged with drug pushing before the City Prosecutor’s Office yesterday morning. (nitz arancon)
