PSupt. Romanita Bulanon, deputy chief, Regional Police Community Relations Division of NCRPO, said that the relief assistance was realized through a fund raising activity by selling shirts marked with “NCRPO Supports Peace in Marawi.”

Water containers used as “alkansya” (piggy bank) were also put up at five police districts and 38 police stations of NCR to collect donations from police officers and civillians.

This initiative was spearheaded by NCRPO chief Director Oscar Albayalde and NCRPO’s Ladies Club led by Cherry Albayalde.

PSupt. Bulanon also hopes that other sectors will also send their support to the internally displaced persons. (Lou Ellen L. Antonio/PIA-10 Iligan City)
