ILIGAN City — Success Initiatives, a non-government organization presented to a group of reporters an audio-visual aid in teaching the use of Indigenous Knowledge in reducing natural disaster risks.
The video presentation was done by Nenen Delos Santos Juevesano who asked for feedback.
Among the video clips was an animated show of birds suddenly flying away from their abode toward a safer destination indicating that there is a coming storm or typhoon that may endanger them unless the move to safer places.
Teaching people these indigenous knowledge handed down from generation to generation can help people to move away to safer places when these indicators are observed.
