THE Bislig tourism office has reopened the Tinuy-an Falls Eco Park after giving the famous tourist destrination in Surigao del Sur a facelift.

Lorelei Teresa Lim, tourism operations officer of Bislig City, said the renowned tourist destination referred to as the “Little Niagara Falls of the Philippines,” has been reopened to the public following two months of road construction and rehabilitation works.

“Now, it would be easier and less bumpy for tourists to visit Tinuy-an Falls,” Lim said.

The entire road stretch from the highway to the park was fully concreted.

The 15-kilometer road project of the tourism and public works departments was started in early 2017 at a cost of P398 million. It had to be closed this July 4 to allow the last phase of the construction.

Tourism officials said they have set new rules like vehicles are no longer allowed to be parked near the entrance to the waterfalls.
