In an interview with reporters yesterday, Iligan City Police spokesman Maj. Jovanie Cabusas claimed that in their recent assessment they have no police officers who have a derogatory record especially in the conduct of its various operations in the city.

“Even in the whole Region 10, there are no ninja cops,” he added.

Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency-10 Regional Director Wilkins Villanueva concurred with the claim of Cabusas.

Cabusas said it is a source of pride of the Iligan City Police that they have no “ninja cops” in its ranks.

To note, the issue of “Ninja Cops” has been hogging the headlines lately in the wake of recent revelations of many police officers which even involved allegedly those in the highest hierarchy, particularly Philippine National Police Chief Gen. Oscar Albayalde and several others.
