MANY areas in the city would have no electricity for again on Sunday.

The Cagayan Electric Power and Light Co. (Cepalco) yesterday announced that it has scheduled 12 hours blackout in many parts of the city because the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) would replace damaged conductors of its 69kv Tagoloan-Lunocan, and fix a transformer at the Tagoloan substation.

In view of the NGCP notice, Cepalco said it would work on a line conductor at Macasandig, and perform line maintenance works from Tablon to Tagoloan.

Blackouts are scheduled from 6 am to 6 pm, affecting areas from HCH Corp. in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental up to the Limketkai plant in Puntod.

Also to be affected are areas in Macasandig, Indahag, Upper Carmen, JR Borja St., Pabayo St., Velez St., Tiano Bros. St, Hayes St., CM Recto Ave. Corrales extension, Puntod, Agora in Lapasan, all the way to Galaxy in Gusa.

Cepalco also announced a 2-6 hours blackout on the following areas. Some areas will experience six hours of blackout like Casinglot in Tagoloan and Gusa up to Indahag.

There will be two- to three-hour blackouts in some areas of Hayes St., Nazareth, Kauswagan, Bulua, Iponan, Consolacion, Patag, Carmen, and Divisoria.
