All set in Region 10 for the Mindanao cluster farm machinery roadshow to showcase the latest farm technologies on Jan. 29-30.
DA Secretary Emmanuel F. Piñol will grace the opening today in Lohas Hotel, Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental.
Aside from exhibits of machinery and equipment, there will be a techno forum and field demonstration in the afternoon and on Jan. 30 in Loguilo, Alubijid, Misamis Oriental.
The theme, “Mechanize Mindanao” aims to create awareness, development, and adoption of modern machinery and equipment towards agricultural productivity.
The Department of Agriculture together with the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech) and FIT Corea Trading Philippines, Inc., Korea Agricultural Machinery Industry Cooperative (Kamico) organized the event for agricultural development through the promotion of mechanization and postharvest technologies.
DA-10 Regional Director Carlene C. Collado said around 800 participants composed of farmers, local government units, and other stakeholders are expected to attend the two-day activity. (da x)
