The Land Transportation Office in Region 10 will put up a drop box at its service center in LimKetKai Center where temporary driver’s license holders would drop the photocopies of their licenses together with their contact numbers to be scheduled for printing on plastic as permanent driver’s licenses.

“We already have the plastic driver’s license where we will transfer the data of their temporary driver’s licenses which are detailed temporarily in their receipts. So, what they should do is to have it photocopied so we can fetch it a day or two days after,” LTO 10 regional director Oscar Salcedo said.

Salcedo said there are about 200,000 temporary driver’s licenses regionwide that need the issuance of plastics. They would claim their plastic driver’s license at any designated LTO-10 issuing centers in Malaybalay, Iligan, Ozamis, Oroquieta and Gingoog.

Salcedo said employees of the regional Transportation bureau’s licensing division will devote 8am-9am and 5-8pm daily for the printing of plastics to catch up the growing number of backlog of new and renewal applications.

Hinay hinay lang mi ani kay wala raba mi technician basin mo-bugdown ang among system,” he said.

Salcedo is also happy to announce that the issuance of new driver’s license is now faster compared to the past, “because there is no more corruption.”

Today, he said, it would only take less than an hour for the applicants to get their respective driver’s license.

He said they can issue driver’s licenses at the average of 200 daily.
