CITY COUNCILOR Zaldy Ocon sees no problem should colleagues Teodulfo Lao, Jr. and Enrico Salcedo decide to support the Liberal Party-dominated city council.

“This is my personal opinion, kay wala pa man pud kami magmeeting sa among grupo pero basta  kay welcome sila si Kag. Lao ug Salcedo para sa ako,” Ocon said.

Ocon’s statement is in reaction to Lao’s pronouncement that Centrist Democratic Party leader Rufus Rodriguez gave them the “liberty” whether to support the administration-led city council.

“Dako akong pagto-o nga dawaton pa gihapon sila (Lao and Salcedo) ni Mayor Moreno kay pareho ra man ang atong tingoha sukad pa sa una –– ang pag-abag sa mayor ug dili pagbabag,” said Ocon.

Ocon added he is even hopeful that Moreno will invite Lao and Salcedo back to the Liberal Party.

However, Ocon said they have yet to hear from Mayor Oscar Moreno on the matter.
