CAGAYAN de Oro City Police Office scored against drugs in a buy-bust operation here, anew.
Police Chief Insp. Ariel Philip Pontillas, officer-in-charge of Agora Police Station 3 identified the suspect as one Justine Gandol “Jao-jao,” 19 years old, single, and a resident of St. John, Barangay Puntod, this city.
Police operatives collared Gandol in a buy-bust operation on Sunday in Tulay Semento, Barangay Lapasan, here.
Pontillas said they have been receiving numerous complaints from the residents that their community has been used as Gandol’s base when trafficking illegal drugs. Taken from Gandol after the arrest were P200 marked money (Serial No. AE701184), one sachet of suspected shabu, and other drug paraphernalia.
Pontillas said Gandol is also a suspect for the robbery of Keng 777 Trading where he was caught by CCTV. Also on tape was when he stab the security guard on Sept. 26, Anthony Cainoy.
In a separate incident, a man was killed after his live-in partner shot him in Mother Ignacia, Zone 8 Landfill, here.
Carmen Police Station 4 officer SPO3 Fernando Laspona identified the fatality as on Junvic Tortosa, and Girlie Talip as wounded, both 32 years old, and residents of the said area.
Laspona told the Gold Star Daily Talip and her sister Jennifer Dular were quarreling when their spat turned physical.
Suddenly, the suspect Victor Talip shot Tortosa who he in turn suspected to be trafficking illegal drugs in their area.
Tortosa succumbed to a gunshot would on his chest, and the pregnant Talip was wounded in her right arm.
Talip is currently recuperating at Northern Mindanao Medical Center.
The suspect, Victor Talip is still at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.
