At least 10 customers were allegedly downed after eating at a restaurant, located at Tiano del Pilar, last Sunday.

Gaane said she has already conferred with city health officer Dr. Fe Bongcas to find out why the customers had bouts of loose bowel movement and stomach ache after eating at the restaurant.

One of the victims, who file a blotter at Divisoria Police Station, Julius Jemeniro, 47, a resident of 18th St., Nazareth, this city, said that they ate at the restaurant around 12 noon Sunday. He said he was with his wife, Germille, 45, and their son.

At about 1 pm, Jemeniro added, they started to feel stomach aches.

He recalled that they ate seafood, chicken, and watermelon and pineapple for dessert.

Jemeniro said they rushed to Polymedic Hospital when they all started vomiting and had bouts of diarrhea.

Gaane said they will inspect the restaurant to ascertain if it had been a case of food poisoning.

For her part, Bongcas said they are currently doing rounds of hospitals in the city to get the exact record of patients who had eaten at the restaurant that Sunday.

Bongcas said they will still investigate the incident even though her office has not received any complaint.

Bongcas added that she only knew of the incident through local news media.
