Wurtzbach, who considers the city as a hometown because she spent her younger years living here, is scueduled to return to the country this Jan. 23.

Rodriguez said he was disappointed because Wurtzbach’s itinerary included a “grand” parade, press conference, charity work, a courtesy call in Malacanang, in the  Senate and in the House of the Representatives but no visit to Cagayan de Oro. She then leaves the country on the 29th.

“While I understand that her stay in the country will only be for a short time, her visit to Cagayan de Oro would definitely enhance her experience, and she will feel the love of her fellow Kagay-anons who will certainly roll the red carpet for her,” reads part of Rodriguez’s letter to Araneta.

He said it would disappoint many people if Wurtzbach doesn’t visit the city.

“Bisag half day lang,” Rodriguez told this paper.

Araneta has yet to reply to Rodriguez’s letter.
