Cagayan de Oro City’s Peace, Development and Security Council chaired by Mayor Oscar Moreno has expressed strong support to President Duterte’s call to finally end armed struggle against local communists and insurgents.
“Our teamwork and harmony is very important as this order of the President reminds ourselves that we belong to one unitary and indivisible government,” Mayor Moreno tells CPDSC members in a meeting on Wednesday, when the body passed a resolution rallying behind President’s Executive Order No. 70 which calls for ‘whole-of-a-nation’ approach ending local communists armed conflict, particularly with the Communist Party of the Philippines/National Democratic Front/New People’s Army.
