Aiding not only to environment preservation but also to children with leukemia, the 3-storey Balai Lunas made of eco-bricks is unveiled by the City Government of Cagayan de Oro, late last week.

Coming first of its kind, the eco brick building is comprised of laminated plastics made by garbage segregators of the recently closed open dumpsite at Upper Dagong, Barangay Carmen, here.

Engr. Armen Cuenca of the City Local Environment and Natural Resources Officesaid the eco-bricks to be used have doubled durability than the usual hollow blocks.
