NEARLY 20 people were hurt and rushed to the hospitals after a public van and a 10-wheel cargo truck collided at Zone 7, Barangay Alae, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, yesterday morning.
Witnesses said the van was moving at high speed when it suddenly rammed into an incoming cargo truck. The van was wrecked.
At least 18 passengers of the van were rushed to various hospitals due to contusions, bruises and other injuries. Others were unconscious when they were rushed to hospital.
SPO2 Edwin Umantas, traffic investigator assigned at Puerto police station, said the truck driver is now under their custody. The van driver was brought to Sabal Hospital in Puerto.
