Versatile actor and comedian Paolo Contis reaffirms his loyalty as a Kapuso after he renewed his contract with GMA Network last September 27.
In his 15 years with GMA, Paolo has been blessed with numerous projects and feels grateful for his relationship with the Network.
“Basically, dito na sa GMA, dito na ako tumanda, in terms of nag-mature, in my personal life, (and) professionally. Tahanan ko na talaga ang GMA. Kung mayroong through thick and thin ika nga, lahat ng napagdaanan kong mabibigat, they’ve been very supportive of me, regardless of any situation,” he said.
An award-winning actor and a highly-talented comedian, Paolo is considered a household name in the entertainment industry. Apart from being a mainstay of the longest-running gag show Bubble Gang, Paolo will also be showcasing his hosting skills in Studio 7.
He shared, “Mahirap magpatawa, especially sa culture nating mga Pinoy dahil very emotional tayo. Madaling magpaiyak pero with regards sa maraming problema natin sa bansa, ang hirap magpatawa. I love making people laugh talaga. I’m very happy na sa munting paraan ko, through Bubble Gang, kasi weekly ko siya nagagawa.”
GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable is proud to have witnessed Paolo succeed as one of the most prized talents of the Network, “Magaling naman talaga siyang aktor mapa-drama, comedy, kahit na anong role kaya niya. Dati nahahanay siya sa mga bad guy roles, pero nasubukan natin siya many times even sa good guy roles and he did it as well as yung mga villain roles niya. So, makikita mo yung range niya as an actor. But we also want to continue utilizing his talent in the comedy genre kasi napaka-witty na tao, he thinks fast on his feet, ang galing niyang magbitaw ng mga punchlines.”
GMA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Felipe Gozon commended the loyalty of the Kapuso star, “Tayo ay tuwang tuwa na napili nanaman tayo ni Paolo, na manatili sa GMA, sapagkat isa siya sa mga magaling at loyal na artista natin for 15 years.”
