COUNCILOR Jay Pascual, chair of the City Council committee on tourism, invites all resident to take part in the Cagayan de Oro City fiesta activities.

It may be recalled that Councilor Pascual announced the core activities during the radio program “Ang Konseho Karon: Mover of Change and City’s Development” with Councilor Ian Mark Nacaya.

Hinaut unta atong mga higala, join us on our fiesta activities, para mas mabibo atong dakbayan,” he said.

He said a number of activities have lined up to highlight this year’s fiesta celebration.

According to Councilor Pascual, the Miss Cagayan de Oro 2018 coronation night will be on Aug. 25 at 7:00 pm at Limketkai Atrium.

On Aug. 24 to 26, there will be a Cowboy Festival at Roa Property at CDO Uptown, and on Aug. 25 to 26 will be the Special Feature First Motor Ace Kagay-an Dragon Boat Fiesta Race, he said.

As one of the highlights of the city’s festivity, the public can also witness the Carnival Street Dance Competition on Aug. 26 at 3:00 pm, Higalaay Street Parade and Float Civic Military Parade on Aug. 27 at 7:00 am and the Centrio Mall Bisperas Fireworks at Duaw Park on Aug. 27 at 8:00 pm.

On Aug. 27 to 29 there will be a Seventh Mindanao Fashion Summit which will be held at Centrio Mall Activity Center at 3:00 pm, Religious Procession on Aug. 28 at 4:00 am followed by the Fluvial Procession and the SM Higalaay Pyro Musical Festival at the Pueblo de Oro Business Park on the same day at 8:30 pm.

Pascual also announced that there will be a Higalaay Festival Sale at Limketkai Center on Aug. 13-31, at SM Downtown Premiere on Aug. 24 to 31, Ororama Supercenter on Aug. 24 to 28, Centrio Ayala Mall on Aug. 24 to 28, and SM City Uptown on Aug. 24 to 28.
