DAVAO City–The Freedom Park, venue of the grand rally of Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) standard bearer Rodrigo Duterte, was swarmed by thousands of his supporters on Wednesday night.
Freedom Park was also the venue of the provincial proclamation rally of Duterte in Feb. 9, simultaneous with rally in Tondo, Manila where he laid out his platform before his supporters.
Davao City Police Office (DCPO) spokesperson Chief Insp. Milgrace Driz said some 60 police officers were deployed to secure the venue of the rally.
Several support groups also came, among them are the Duterte United Women’s Organization, PDP Laban Davao City Council and President Duterte Group Volunteers.
Free t-shirt printing services were also offered for free by Duterte supporters for those who brought souvenir shirts. (antonio l. colina)
