In an exclusive interview this publication in the presence of some business leaders and academe who visited her at her home here in Butuan City at Estacio Village Sunday morning, Plaza said she don’t want Peza just sitting down waiting for locators at ecozones all over the country to apply.

“I wanted Peza to do an aggressive marketing and promotion strategy as this country has lots to offer I want to make Philippines, a friend to everyone and every countries.  Now is the time to show compassion, understanding and help for there will be no time anymore to help others,” Plaza said.

“We will create ecozones in different regions in the country so that their best local resources or raw materials available especially for export can be tapped for development. We will provide incentives to investors, locators and local businessmen’ Plaza added.

Plaza added that she will establish Peza regional offices. However, did not give an exact time frame for her plans.

Plaza claims, she wanted to have an audit inventory of active and inactive existing Philippine Economic Zones scattered all over the country.

“From October 14-16, we will be conducting a strategic planning and re-assessment workshop in our office in Bonfacio Global City to try to assess current Peza situationer as a whole, especially on its fiscal and personnel management systems as I wanted to introduce innovative approach,” Plaza concludes.
