Mantala said police arrested Bedro at 2 pm Wednesday in his Bayabas hideout based on a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Emmanuel Escatron of the Regional Trial Court-Branch 2 in Libertad, Butuan City.

He said Bedro was linked to the robbery of involving LBC branches in Divisoria, Carmen, Bulua, this city, and Tagoloan town in Misamis Oriental.

The crime group, according to the police, is connected with an Ozamiz-based robbery gang.

Rojo said Bedro was first arrested in November 2018 in connection with a series of robbery cases in the city, including Misamis Oriental.

While he was charged at the prosecutor’s office, the suspect was released due to lack of evidence.

His companion, one Anthony Palubon a.k.a. Bingcol, was also charged, and is now the subject of a police manhunt.

Bedro was detained at Cocpo’s custodial facility, and is set to be brought to the sala of Judge Escatron in Butuan City.
