Jesser Pairat of Barangay Macasandig and a teacher at Cagayan de Oro National High School, was arrested based on a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Evelyn Gamotin-Nery of the 19th branch of the Regional Trial Court here.

A P180-thousand bailbond was set for him.

The 50-year old Pairat was arrested outside the school campus along 29th Street in Barangay Nazareth as he was about to enter the school, police said.

Senior Insp. Julius Saluta, chief of the Macasandig police, said the case against Pairat is based on the complaint of a 14-year-old student.

“Ingon sa suspect, nakapuyo daw sa ilang balay kanang complainant. Dili na mosulti kung unsa gyud ang nahitabo pero sa among tan-aw mura man siya og gay,” Saluta said.

Police said they discovered that Pairat has another pending warrant of arrest for the same offense from the same complainant and of the same branch when he was brought to the court for his commitment.

He is facing two counts of violation of RA 7610 Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
