CAMP Alagar has called on former councilor and provincial board member President Elipe and his sister Pristine Quizon to turn themselves in.

Police regional director Brig. Gen. Rolando Anduyan said the Elipe siblings are now considered “wanted” given the bench warrant of arrest issued by Sandiganbayan’s 4th Division.

The Office of the Ombudsman, which brought Elipe and his sister to the anti-graft court for graft and falsification, won a conviction against the siblings. Elipe, in earlier interviews before the issuance of the bench arrest warrant, said he has appealed the case.

The warrant, a copy of which was received by Camp Alagar this Dec. 3, directed the police and the National Bureau of Investigation to arrest the Elipe siblings. Anduyan immediately ordered provincial director Col. Robert Roy Bahian and Cagayan de Oro City Police Office director Col. Henry Dampal to serve the warrant of arrest.

Anduyan, however, said the police here were facing a blank wall on the whereabouts of Elipe, currently the general manager of the Misamis Oriental Integrated Sports Complex, and Quizon.

Anduyan urged the siblings to surrender to authorities peacefully the soonest time possible.

“Mas maayo para sa iyaha (Elipe),” Anduyan said.

Camp Alagar spokesman Lt. Col. Mardy Hortillosa agreed with Anduyan that the siblings can be considered fugitives now.

“Yes, matawag siya kay na-a (may) warrant,” Hortillosa said.

Cocpo spokesman Maj. Evan Viñas also agreed with Anduyan. “Ang usa  ka individual nga dunay tulubagon sa balaod ug dili motahan, makonsidera nga wanted o pangitaon aron siya madala sa korte nga diin ang iyang salaod  mahimo niyang tubagon.”

Viñas said authorities have no choice but to exert more effort to locate and arrest the siblings unless they turned themselves in.

“Susama ni Elipe nga dunay standing  warrant, dili moundang ang kapulisan ug laing law  enforcement agencies aron i-serve ang maong court order,” Viñas said.
