The City Band was used to entertain the delegates of the rally.

Various groups mostly clad in red t-shirts converged at the plaze, although there were a smattering of blue, green, white, and other colors were seen, too.

Many of the banners that were placed in various places at the plaza were about federalism even as others too requested the President “to declare revolutionary government.”

President Rodrigo Duterte’s picture was also displayed promintently in the plaza’s edges and it was also displayed in center stage, along with an illustration of five color rays of the sun on top of a clenched fist.

National hero Andres Bonifacio’s picture of his traditional pose with a fighting weapon amidst a backdrop of a KKK emblem was also displayed.

Sheila Mae Casas, one of the speakers drove home a point that with federalism, “tunay na pagbabago” would be achieved specially with a “revolutionary government. With such method, she said, legislative powers would also be with the President, and hence, things would move faster, she added. He is our “last card,” she said, referring to the President and this is a “risk we’ll have to take.”

Prof. Cassan Cana echoed the same sentiments. Cana said under the set-up, he said which is unitary, most of the resources would go to “imperial Manila” and what is left for the provinces are “crumbs” as the people there would have all the say.

The rally began at 2:30 pm. Delegations were from Lanao del Sur, Marawi City, Maguing, Saguiaran, Poona Bayabao, Ganassi, Balindong, and other places as evidenced by the banners they carried.

However, there were no delegations seen from Lanao del Norte and one banner said, “One Marawi, One Lanao.”

Several delegations also came from this city, like Tubod, Pugaan, and Mainit.
