Comelec offices are now collecting biometrics records, and are assisting transferring voters.

According to the Misamis Oriental election supervisor Carlito Ravelo, the Comelec would focus on the voters’ registration until Oct. 31.

In Misamis Oriental and Cagayan de Oro, he said over 25 thousand voters have yet to submit themselves for their biometrics data.

“Kining more than 25 thousand voters nga wala pay biometric records, dili kini sila maka botar kon dili sila magpa kuha sa ilang biometrics hangtud sa Oct. 31 nga among deadline,” Ravelo said.

He said Misamis Oriental alone has some 12 thousand voters who have no biometric records at the Comelec. Cagayan de Oro has some 13 thousand.

The Comelec is conducting the registrations at the municipal and city offices of the Comelec. Voters can also register at the 2nd floor of Robinson’s Mall, Limketkai Center from 9 am to 9 pm, Monday to Friday, until Oct. 31. (nitz arancon)
