A RESOLUTION declaring portion of Barangay Macabalan as calamity area due to fire incident was approved by the City Council during its regular session last week.
The fire occurred on July 15 at Mulmac, based on the final disaster report submitted by the City Social Welfare and Development Department.
Based on the report, the total number of families affected is 90 and the estimated damage cost (partial and total) is P24,492,650.
The CSWD has already extended food and material assistance to the affected families.
Financial assistance in a total amount of P1.3 million was also recommended. (sp)
