Alon expressed the barangay’s need to reforest its 7.5 hectare parcel of land in Sitio Lirup in his letter request.

He said the reforestation project will be undertaken by the Indigenous Higaonon tribe of their barangay.

Kiwalan is host to the 20-Megawatt Steam Generated Power Plant that the company is putting up beside Republic Cement Corporation, its primary customer.

It has been said that Republic Cement requires 8 megawatts of power for its operation.

The remaining 12 megawatts may be sold to power distributors or linked to the Mindanao Power Grid.
