Both the Cagayan Electric Power & Light Co., Inc. (Cepalco), and Cagayan de Oro Water District (COWD) released another scheduled power and water service interruption affecting parts of the city tomorrow.
According to Cepalco the following interruption is to facilitate a line transfer of 2-50kVA distribution transformers affecting customers located along Burgos-Montalban streets including Iglesia ni Cristo church from 8Am to 5PM (9hrs), and a primary line upgrading from 7Am to 6PM (11 hrs) affecting Sitio Palalan, Sapong, and Barangay Tablon.
Meanwhile, the Cagayan de Oro Water District (COWD) has announced that the Cagayan de Oro Bulkwater, Inc., (COBI) would also have its fare share of water service interruption affecting the following areas Richmond Hills Subdivision, Paglaum area and the entire Camaman-an, for 12 hours from 6AM to 6PM.
This is due to the interconnection of a 400MM diameter COBI line to the 300MM diameter pipeline at COWD’s production well No. 31 and the interconnection of another 400MM COBI line to the 500MM diameter COWD transmission line both located at Camaman-an and Pinikitan junction.
The service upgrade began yesterday affecting the same area from 6AM to 6PM also.
It said that the service upgrade were necessary in order to deliver the additional supply to consumers in the eastern part of this city.
Power and water supplies would however, be restored immediately without further notice when works are completed earlier than scheduled. (Dave Achondo)
