I know what you’re thinking and NO, this is not a movie spoiler.
The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Misamis Oriental – Cagayan de Oro chapter recently hosted a block screening of the much awaited film, Avengers: Endgame last April 24 at Ayala Centrio Mall this city with the theme “Discover a Hero in You”. After a decade of bringing to life the best Marvel superheroes in one movie, it has finally come to an epic conclusion and will forever go down in Marvel history as the best.
The event was spear headed by RCP- FunGen officer Ellen Nailga along with the entire Philippine Red Cross Misamis Oriental – Cagayan de Oro chapter to raise needed funds for the NGO to continue it humanitarian efforts through its Blood, Disaster Management, Voluntary, and Community Health Services.
It was the first time for the Non-Government Organization (NGO) to conduct a movie event with such success as it sold out its tickets in both Cinemas 1 and 2 of the said mall.
In an interview with PRC Quality Assurance Officer Aline Lipena said “the event was a success, with both cinema 1 and 2 tickets sold out, and we hope to continue to create more fund raising events in the near future to help more people through our services.”
As I said this isn’t a spoiler, but what I can share with you is this. The PRC-MisOr-CDO chapter is in need of donors. So if you have time and meet the requirements we hope you can donate – and as the event slogan goes “Discover a HERO in You”.
Donating blood is not only beneficial to recipients, but it also has several advantages for the donor. Among the benefits, blood donations can help reduce your blood pressure, benefit your overall physical health, and help improve your mental health.
