COTABATO City — President Rodrigo Duterte was the guest of honor of the Bangsamoro assembly yesterday.
The assembly was organized to signify the signing of the Bangsamoro Basic Law.
First Vice Chairman Gadzali Jafaar told local reporters here that they have deployed around 40,000 members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front in and around the assembly venue at the old capitol of Maguindanao in Sultan Kudarat to facilitate and secure the President and the delegates.
Delegates coming from different places in Mindanao and as far as Palawan attended the assembly.
Some foreign visitors and journalists arrived on Sunday here for the Bangsamoro assembly.
