Up in the market are two variants of the LPG fueled gensets, the 5.0 kW and 7.0 kW models. These are bundled with Prycegas 11-kilogram composite cylinder. These products are competitively priced at P64,000 and P84,000 per set respectively.

At a time when prices of petroleum product are expected to skyrocket, PGI is bringing to the generator set market its LPG-power machines. Under the Tax Reform Acceleration and Inclusion or Train tax regime, prices of gasoline will increase by up to P10 by 2020 due to the additional excise tax imposition, while diesel will increase by up to P6 in the same period. LPG on the other hand will only be levied an additional excise tax of P3/ kilo by 2020, P1/kilo per year from 2018. A kilo converts to approximately 2 liters of LPG.

Investing in LPG-powered generator set is economical and a necessary step in the crucial shift for cheaper, cleaner and safe energy, said Pryce Gases Inc. chairman Salvador P. Esca Ño.

Compared to other fuels, LPG is a low carbon emitter. Among the other advantages of the LPG-power generator set are its less toxicity, less maintenance and versatility.

The new composite LPG cylinders introduced earlier by Pryce Gases, Inc. is also safer than the traditional steel cylinders.

LPG, although derived from fossil fuel has not been classified as a greenhouse gas by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Its widespread use has been promoted by environmentalist to reduce carbon gas emission which has been blamed for global warming and climate change.
