THE chairman of the committee on police, fire, and public safety assured the residents the city has made the necessary preparations for a safe and secure city fiesta this month.

Kung atong maobserbahan maayo man ang atong lakaw kay tungod ni sa preparasyon sa atong kapolisan ug Task Force Oro, ang 65th ID, all elements of 4th ID and this is also in coordination with the constituents of Cagayan de Oro. Kay siyempre maulaw kita sa mga bisita nga basin unya ma distract sa mga untoward incidents,” Calizo said

Calizo explained that his committee has been studying the major events of the celebrations.

“Before the final presentation by the organizers of fiesta, tan-awon sa namo ang among initial para sa parade, kay mao man ni mga critical events sa kapistahan, daghan tawo ana. That’s where our Cocpo and all members of our security components have prepared a security plan,” the councilor said.

Regarded as the most common activity, the Fiesta Parade this year will be participated by elementary pupils as compared to the past years’ celebration.

Pero karon apil ang mga bata kay this will be a test if indeed the health condition of the city constituents are that good,” Calizo said.

He said the physical condition of the constituents must be healthy as this will also make a general impact to the city’s economic status as a developing city.

“Letting the youth participate in the fiesta parade will be a test unsa man ilang panglawas tuod? Kay if there’s something wrong, then our city has to do some adjustments as regards our health condition. Ga develop ta, educationally, economically yet ang atong panglawas naay aberya ayaw pud intawon. Physically we should also be healthy,” he added.

In this regard, the councilor reiterated the role of barangay health centers in the assessment of the over-all health status of the city as well as its crucial function in monitoring the immediate health concerns of their respective barangays.

Tagaan gyud og importansya ang role sa mga barangay health centers kay murag ang mga tawo diretso man dayon sa mga hospital. Let us make maximum use of our barangay health centers. The role of the barangay government is very vital kay una, sila may maka profile dayon sa ilang mga constituents unsa man gyud ang profile sa ilang panglawas and they can also do an immediate census as to what sickness has been pestering their respective barangays,” the councilor said.

Calizo also recognized the efforts done by the City Health Office in initializing programs and projects necessary for the best delivery of health services to barangay levels.

Maayo na lang kay ang atong City Health Office has taken due cognizance on this base sa ilang report kabalo na sila asa man gyud mag emphasize sa ilang health services,” he said. (cli)
