REGIONAL macro sector agencies in Region 10 has presented Wednesday, their respective proposed budgets for 2020 to the Macro and Development Administration Committee (MacroCom) of the Regional Development Council (RDC) for review and endorsement of the Committee.
Budget proposals were prepared by the Department of Interior and Local Government, Bureau of Local Government Finance, Cooperative Development Authority, Civil Service Commission, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Statistics Authority, Parole and Probation Administration, Philippine National Police, Office of Civil Defense, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, 403rd Infantry Brigade, 2ndMechanized Infantry, Brigade, 10th Infantry Batallion, and National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) were assessed by the MacroCom.
The Committee subsequently endorsed the proposed budgets to the RDC Full Council subject to revisions based on the comments and recommendations from the committee members.
NEDA Regional Director Mylah Faye Aurora B. Cariño said the review was conducted to ensure that regional priorities are reflected in the agencies budgets.
“We want to influence budget preparation and make sure that it does not only fund our regional imperatives for development but also to ensure that goods and services are really rendered to those who are in need,” she said. (PR)
