THE House Committee on Constitutional Amendments is scheduled to hold a public consultation here on Friday to determine the public sentiment on various issues in Region 10 about moves to change provisions in the 1987 Constitution.

The public consultation is scheduled to start at 8 am at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) gymnasium.

The Committee’s chairman, Rep. Rufus Rodriguez of the city’s 2nd District, said he and other members of the House panel expect stakeholders from all over northern Mindanao to come, representing business groups, the academe, civil society, government and non-government organizations, and local governments.

Rodriguez said the consultation is aimed at trying to determine the public sentiment on various issues included in measures referred to the Committee as of Sept. 25, 2019.
