THE Roads and Traffic Administration started an emergency dryun special traffic scheme due to perennial complaints about heavy traffic congestions along Masterson Ave. during the morning late afternoon rush hours resulting from the narrow section near what used to be Pryce Plaza hotel.
The traffic scheme at Masterson Ave.-Vamenta junction in Carmen started on Tuesday. It will be from 6 am to 9 am and then from 5 pm to 9 pm daily during weekdays.
The scheme includes a temporary no left turn rule towards Vamenta Ave. for motorists going downhill. They are to proceed to Rodelsa Circle.
Those bound for Rodelsa Circle passing Vamenta Blvd. are prohibited to turn left towards Masterson Ave.; they may turn right at Masterson Ave. and make a U-turn beneath the Macanhan flyover.
All motorelas passing Mariano Velez St.-Macanhan are temporarily prohibited to turn right towards Masterson Ave. but they are allowed to turn left towards Concordio Diel St..
All motorelas may take the newly built road in Macanhan connecting to Acacia St., then turn left to Everlasting St. and pass Vamenta Blvd..
Motorists going uphill can proceed towards Masterson Ave. from Rodelsa Circle area, including those that turn right from Vamenta Blvd. towards Masterson Ave..
All vehicles, especially jeepneys, passing Masterson Ave. downhill are allowed to drop their passengers at a designated portion, right side away the intersection of Masterson-Vamenta junction.
