Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights, chaired by Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel, Jr. finds House Bill 1980 filed by Cong. Rufus B. Rodriguez, of Cagayan de Oro second district, entitled “An act creating additional branch of the Regional Trial Court of the Tenth Judicial Region to be stationed at Initao, Province of Misamis Oriental worthy to be given due attention.
Cong. Rodriguez finds that there is a need to create additional Regional Trial Court in order to act immediately on the cases filed in court and hasten its proceedings. The move of Cong. Rodriguez will further amends the purpose Batas Pambansa BLG. 129, otherwise known as the Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980 and appropriating funds therefor.
Cong. Rodriguez welcomes this positive development saying there is really a need to add additional branches in the RTC in the Tenth Judicial Region especially considering the increasing number of cases being filed which is usually brought about by development and improvement of the Region.
