AS we all know by now, after the trapos fueled by the filthy rich made noise (for show only) of the recorded “Hello Garci” call of the then President and now detained Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to a now comfortably enjoying Comelec retiree fondly called “Garci,” GMA was practically a goner even at the start of her extended term as President.

Yet that episode was merely about cheating in a manual “dagdag-bawas” elections. Not a single soul was sacrificed. Because the cheating was just about winning, the people treated the scam as a usual part of Philippine elections. Consequently, the voters punished only her presidential candidate and the majority of the senatorial bets. In fact, most of GMA’s cohorts in the local and congressional elections survived the elections.

Not, this time!

Based on my long years of experience in reading the grassroots, the true pulse of Philippine politics, the scientific survey-takers kuno merely sent their meagerly paid workers to a few taboan (tali-papa) and, bingo, all the national dailies made millions, thereby making the trending specialty a lucrative business.

Of course, those lazy political party election manipulators will continue to spin–after all, they are uninterested in knowing the truth. Their main job is to secure the needed millions of reasons taken from the government coffers to amuse the rather expensive but only a few Comelec magicians in the unholy alliance with clearly dubious Smartmatic, the owners of the 93, 000 Optic Machine Readers, otherwise known as “Oplan Mar Roxas,” according to reliable sources in the Comelec.

But because God is good, the spin doctors of PNoy and his alternative candidate, a self-confessed foundling, failed to consider and evaluate the truth that poor Pinoys are ultra-sentimentalists. Trust me, most Pinoys are more than willing to forget their own, if only to save the lives of their loved ones including their neighbors whom they identify themselves with. This is precisely the reason why PNoy and the Liberal Party will pay dearly in the coming polls for not giving justice and due recognition to the bravery of 44 SAF commandos who have been mercilessly butchered by the MILF-BIFF conjoined twins.

Why do you think Congressman Manny Pacquiao and Sen. Vic Sotto unify the Filipino people in their respective fields of endeavors? It is because of this, and for no other reason, both are identified with the masses. The masses are so enamored that in the coming elections despite the glaring truth that their records in Congress are dismal, at best, the greatest majority of the poor voters believe that both are sure-winners, and therefore, entitled to win their votes. This is the very same rationale why there are Aquino-dominated survey-takers kuno (reliable sources whisper loudly in my ears that both the Pulse Asia and the Social Weather Station are controlled by the Aquino siblings).

However, as a fair warning to these lucrative trending business, it is high time they are forewarned that the idea of having the next President come from Mindanao has come of age and is therefore inevitable. Therefore, no amount of money changing hands in manipulating the OMR to declare PNoy’s candidates–Mar Roxas and the foundling Grace Poe as winners could stop the landslide victory of feisty Davao Mayor Duterte. Otherwise, “history repeats itself” via a federal People Power.

Only a complete change of leadership from the President, Team Duterte-Cayetano to the municipal councilors can quench the thirst of poor people from Mindanao and elsewhere.

The banner story of this paper on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, revealed it all. Both dismissed transition Mayor Oscar S. Moreno and the clown-cilors of our city both deserve the wrath of all Kagay-anons.

The Local Government Code of 1991, as amended, shows beyond any doubt that both the Executive Department and the Legislative Department are mandated to work for, not fool, the people of the City of Cagayan de Oro. Both ought not to have the luxury of “distrusting each other.” But because the mayor is expected by all Kagay-anons to act like a good father of a family, not a bully, it is his duty and obligation to find win-win solutions and not a legal threat no matter how empty if not, absurd. The sovereign Kagay-anons are his masters and he is not a king. As it is also the solemn duty of the city councilors to act as legislators, not as clown-cilors as they have shameless overdid.

For this reason and more, Moreno and the clown-cilors should all be wiped out from the city hall this May 9, 2016. However, in the likely event that jurisprudence prevail, then hambuguero Oca Moreno will receive his final and executory dismissal from government service on Wednesday, the  13th of this month.

If and when that happens, the greatest number of Kagay-anons who are undoubtedly believers and supporters of Robust Rufus Team Harus may already be heard to sing triumphantly and joyfully, “Alleluia, the city mayorship in our city is indeed providential.”
