Ang mga residente nagreklamo …nakahatag na kini og peligro sa ilang panglawas tungod sa dli gyud maayo nga baho,” he said.

Salcedo said this matter was already brought to the barangay council. He said series of discussions were conducted with the owner of Alwana Village, however, there were no improvements done.

“With confirmation kay ako mismo niadto didtong dapita, ako saksi usab nga dili gayud maayo ang sitwasyon sa mga residente kay baho gyud ang lugar,” he pointed out.

Salcedo said the local government must be the authority in terms of executing  Solid Waste Management, as mandated in RA 7160 and RA 9003.

Ang atong mga basura dapat naka-segregate na into biodegradable, non-biodegradable, recyclable, and hazardous waste,” he advised.

“We must all be responsible in disposing our waste properly, especially the big companies, to help the community attain a clean and greener environment,” he opined.

The special report of Councilor Salcedo was referred to the committees on health and on environment for further discussion. (sp)
