Duterte-Carpio will be in Gingoog City first for a proclamation rally this morning being organized by Mayor Marie Guingona’s “Team Serbisyo” and the Padayon Pilipino at the Lugod Memorial Gymnasium.

In the afternoon, she would proceed to Cagayan de Oro for another Hugpong political rally at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) gym.

Capitol spokesperson Florito “Carlo” Dugaduga said senatorial candidates expected to come to the proclamation rally in Gingoog include  relectionist senators Cynthia Villar and Juan Edgardo Angara, ex-senators Pia Cayetano and Jinggoy Estrada, former presidential special assistant Christopher Go, former National Police director general Ronald de la Rosa, and Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos.

“Ipakita anang proclamation rally ugma ang atong  hugot nga pagsuporta sa liderato ni President Rodrigo Duterte,” said Dugaduga.

He said Misamis Oriental Gov. Yevgeny Vincente Emano would lead candidates of the Padayon Pilipino in the province in taking part of the Gingoog proclamation rally.

Dugaduga said Emano’s political allies and supporters from all over the province would troop to Gingoog for the rally.

“Pagatambungan kini sa tanan kandidato sa Padayon Pilipino sa tanan munisipyo,” emphasized Dugaduga.

Mayor Guingona has stepped aside in favor of her mother Ruthie, Gingoog’s vice mayor, who is seeking the mayoral post again. The mayor has opted to run for vice mayor.

Nicole Managbanag, Cagayan de Oro mayoral candidate Jose Gabriel La Viña’s liaison with the media, said Duterte-Carpio and the Hugpong senatorial candidates are also scheduled to lead a rally at the USTP gym here this afternoon.

Managbanag said the Duterte-Carpio is expected to publicly endorse the candidacies of La Viña and his running mate former mayor Vicente Emano, former congressman Rufus Rodriguez and other Padayon Pilipino-Centrist Democratic Party-Abante Mindanao candidates during the USTP rally.

She said security would be tight at the USTP this afternoon.
