“Kilusang Pagbabago (KP) will be the vehicle of the Duterte administration to effect real change in the nation and to ensure that the delivery of government programs trickles down directly to the people,” said Evasco.

Evasco who coordinates and facilitates the meetings of cabinet clusters, such as energy, food security, national security, poverty reduction and socio-economic clusters, and of the entire cabinet also said change will not come overnight but it is a process.

He pointed out that the three main roles of the members of the movement were to be “watchdogs, educators, and defenders” of Filipinos and the country.

Evasco challenged the participants to establish Kilusang Pagbabago in every village in the provinces in the region in order to empower the citizenry in the villages to decide programs needed by the community and devoid of patronage politics.

Ang panawagan bisan asa is pagbag-o. Apan ang pagbag-o dili automatic because government has no capacity to change itself but it can be change if people participate in governance,” he said.
