Cogon Police Investigator PO3 Randolph Rey Montejo identified the stabbing fatality as one Danilo Cabanos, 54 years old of San Jose, Malabalay City, Bukid-non province.

Cabanos succumbed to four stab wounds on his torso and was declared dead-on-arrival at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center.

Montejo said that before the stabbing incident, Cabanos–who was on duty guarding Jejors Construction located at Barangay Cogon, this city–was having a drinking session with five suspects, who are also employees of the construction supply store on the night of July 31.

He said that the incident happened at Guillermo St., near the construction supply store.

Montejo added that they know the identities of the suspects but declined to give their names pending a man hunt operation.

Cabanos’ body now lies at Bollosoz Funeral Home in Barangay Bulua, this city.
