With the aim of helping people who are struggling and in need of blood, the Soka Gakkai International (SGI) of the Cagayan de Oro, Philippines, a Buddhist movement for peace, culture and education, shot a care and attention and conducted the dugong SGI Blood Drive on March 30, 2019, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, at SGI Culture Center, Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City.

Together with the SGI Cagayan de Oro Medical Team and in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH), SGI-CDO pushed the blood letting activity dubbed with the theme “Share a Little, Save a Lot”. The said event believed that with one pint of the blood donated by a person, three lives can already be saved.

The morning kicked off with the team of SGI-CDO Philippines and its partners preparing the needed things and setting up the Culture Center. With their expectancy of the number of participants, everyone strived to make the activity sleekly run.

As the event formally started, blood donors started to flood the area to partake and share the same aim with SGI-Philippines. The members of the host organization also extended their help through donating their own blood.

The morning concluded with the SGI-CDO Medical Team’s aim satisfyingly achieved.
