According to the report, Siao is on his second term as representative of the district who was the vice chairman of the Committee on Tourism during the 17th Congress.

According to the House Rules, the committee now headed by Siao has jurisdiction on “all matters directly and principally relating to the organization, operation, management, rules and regulations of the Civil Service; the status, welfare and benefits of government officers and employees; and the regulation of admission to and the practice of professions.”

Siao said he will prioritize the bills on salaries and benefits of our co-workers in government at the national and local levels, with priority or preferential action on the rank and file civil servants.

“We will also work hard on updating the various professions, as well as strengthening the Professional Regulations Commission and ensure just implementation of continuing professional education and training,” Siao added.
