ILIGAN City — Over two thousand beneficiaries of the Builders for the Future – Hope Scholarship Program of the Office of the Lone Congressional District of Iligan got School Bags and assorted school supplies during a series of distribution activities this August 1 to 9 in 32 barangays, here.
Verne Padilla of the BFF-Hope program told reporters the school supplies were donated by San Miguel Corporation through the efforts of Congressman Federick Siao.
The beneficiaries came from schools at the Poblacion and all the way to the mountain village of Rogongon in the tri-boundary of Ilikgan, Bukidnon and Lanao del Sur, said Padilla.
He explained that three teams handled the distribution considering the vast territory covered.
It was learned that the scholarship program started as a family program before Siao joined politics as a city councilor.
