BUTUAN City — Six suspected shabu pushers and users were arrested anew in two separate buy-bust operations here in two barangays on Tuesday.

This as the anti-illegal drugs campaign here in Caraga Region intensified further.

Arrested evening of October 18 by operatives from Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 13, Police Regional Office 13 Regional Public Safety Battalion, Butuan City Police Station 2 and the Drug Enforcement Agency 13, were Engr. Renante Rosales Cifra, 46, married, resident of Mango Ville St. Villa Kananga Road; Gloripe Guibone Parpan, 35, jobless, single, resident of Purok Sari-Sari Barangay Golden Ribbon; and Maria Catheine Naig Casipit, 43, married,  resident of Purok 3, Montilla St. Barangya San Ignacio, all of this city.

Police said they seized from the suspects P11,800-worth of suspected shabu, marked money of P500 bill, and assorted drug paraphernalia during buy-bust operation.

The arrested suspects are now under custody of CIDG Caraga regional office for further investigation.

Meanwhile, arrested also in buy-bust Tuesday afternoon, was Rachel Bungalan Ruiz alyas “Gang-Gang,” 23, resident of Purok 7, Barangay Limaha at a residence allegedly turned into drug den in Purok 2, Barangay Holy Redeemer, this city.

Others arrested by the PRO 13 regional intelligence division, Regional Public Safety Battalion and Butuan City Police Station 2 in the act while in a shabu session were Ronaldo L. Hijada and Akmad S. Baura where some illegal drugs shabu contained in sachets and drug paraphernalia were seized from them.

A total of more or less five grams of suspected shabu with estimated value of P59, 000 were seized.

Arrested persons and the confiscated items were brought at the PRO 13 regional intelligence division office for proper documentation and filing of appropriate cases for violation of RA 9165 through an inquest proceeding.
