Chief Insp. Mardy Hortilloza, Cocpo spokesman, said however that of the eight bullets only one bullet proved fatal.

Usa sa walo niini nga bala, didto naka-igo sa tangkogo ni Dr. Rotoras nga matawag nato nga fatal gyud nga pagka-igo,” Hortilloza said.

Hortilloza added that four of the eight bullets pierced through the different parts of the body of Rotoras.

Kadtong upat ka slug nga nakita-an didto sa crime scene, nanglusot na lang ‘to nga mga bala gikan sa lawas ni Dr. Rotoras” Hortilloza explained.

He said they have submitted the slugs recovered at the crime scene for ballistic examination at the PNP Crime Laboratory and they are still waiting for the results.

In another development, Hortilloza said the PNP Cyber Crime Group are already in the process of examining the cellphone of Rotoras but are having a hard time opening the cellphone.

Dili ma-abli ang iyang cellphone kay high-tech,” Hortilloza pointed out.

However, he assured the public that their experts are doing their best open the cellphone since the contents can aid in the murder investigation.

Kon ma-ablihan lang unta ang iyang cellphone, posibling makahatag na dayon kini ug lead sa pagsulbad sa maong krimen kay ato man dayon nga mabal-an kinsa’y iyang naka-communicate sa wala pa siya pusila,” Hortilloza said.

He said if their cyber crime group cannot open the cellphone, they will send this to their counterparts in Manila for a thorough examination.

Rotoras was shot around 1 am on Dec. 2 in front of his home in Cypress St., Golden Glow North Subdivision, Upper Carmen, this city. He was coming home from a party.
