Police report said the victims were onboard a motorcycle driven by Reagan heading home at about 9:30 pm when two unidentified gunmen onboard another motorcycle fired at them.

The victims are residents of Sitio Biao, Barangay Cogon in Digos City.

Police Supt. Demetrius Taypin, Digos police chief in a phone interview said they are looking for a lead behind the shooting incident to determine the motive of the crime and possible identification of the killers.

“I sent my investigators to Davao City to talk to the survivors. Hopefully, we could extract information from them to solve the crime in the soonest time possible,” Taypin said.

He said the first information he got was that the driver came from a drinking spree.

“He was under the influence of liquor at the time of the shooting incident. So, we are trying to know if he had a grudge with somebody that could trigger the incident,” the police chief said.

Information provided by one of the victims’ relatives said the couple has a less than a year kid. (Eldie S. Aguirre)
