Winky’s Lechon by Anastasia Lee is no ordinary lechon that we are accustomed to – which makes it even more special.

This lechon is stuffed with sea food in its belly. Yes you heard it right, it contains crabs and shrimps together with lemon grass while it is being roasted to perfection.

This food innovation has circulated in social media since last year and one company based in Visayas has already been featured in a GMA 7’s Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.

With more and more food innovations and ideas popping up, the industry has flourished over the years, especially since the mass media are promoting international cuisines and unique style of cooking. Its no wonder that various traditional delicacies are being upgraded with a twist.

Last week we happen to experience Winky’s Lechon during an event at AIM Phil Conference and the experience was mouthwatering; the aroma  of roast lechon and seafoods in one sends you straight to food heaven.

Opening the lechon and seeing all the seafoods come out are a sight to see. Chef Anastacia Lee, owner and Chief Chef of Winky’s Lechon have established numerous patronage on her unique lechon already, but it’s not only sea foods that she stuffed her lechons with, she also stuffs native chickens, depending on the orders of her client.

Anastacia has been around in Cagayan de Oro for quite some time now, she pioneered cake mapping here in our city that caused amazement among her clientele of the amazing innovation on her display.

She joined various food conventions and wedding bazaars which includes Kumbira – A Culinary Show and Live Competitions by COHARA, Kasalanan sa CdO at Centrio, Ayala Mall and many more. As an entrepreneur Anastacia expanded her cake business and is now moving to catering and various enterprise.

Creativity is the key in staying afloat in today’s competitive market and she recognizes that challenge. Anastacia spends much of her time researching on new trends on the business. Taking advantage of the internet, new ideas can easily be accessed and she explores it.

Cagayan de Oro is the mecca of food business here in Northern Mindanao, every month new food establishment sprung out in the city. And there is no better place to enjoy the best food experience in Northern Mindanao but to be here in Cagayan de Oro.
