Chief Insp. Harvey Abellanosa identified the  suspect as Michael Luna a.k.a. JL, 27, of Mirayon, Talakag, Bukidnon.

Abellanosa said Luna, the first election gun ban violator arrested in the city since last weekend, was apprehended during a buy-and-bust operation carried out by the police and the  Philippine Drug Enforcement Administration.

He said the suspect yielded three sachets of suspected shabu, a kitchen knife, a caliber .38 revolver with four bullets.

Police said Luna would be charged with illegal possession illegal drugs, illegal arms and deadly weapon, and violation of the gun ban.

The same day, police arrested trisikad driver at his house at Purok 11, Sitio Baloy, Tablon, this city.

Senior Insp. Ramsis Cartagena identified the suspect as Abdul Mocsara, 51, who allegedly yielded three sachets of suspected shabu and a gun.

Cartagena said the suspect sold a sachet to a police informant.

But Mocsara denied the accusation, maintaining that he did not sell shabu.

“Sa una hinoon sa di pa (President) Digong ang presidente gasuyop ko but karon kay ‘change is coming’ naman, miundang na pud ko ana nga bisyo,” Mocsara said.

He alleged that there was no buy-and-bust operation and that the police merely barged into his room while he was asleep.

Mocsara said he was willing to undergo a drug test if only to show that he was clean.
