Suspect of shooting 2 people surrenders

Iligan City — The man responsible for the shooting of a young man and his uncle surrendered to the  police, evening of Monday this week.

Police Capt. Aiman Pangcaran,cPolice Station 4 Commander at Tubod barangay, this city said that the suspect came to their station evening last Monday to surrender. This was in connection with the shooting that took place in the morning of the same day.

The police said that a few hours earlier, somebody came to the crime scene to look for a key  and a motorcycle. The man was identified as one Alex Capuyan who came to the police station to inquire about a key and motorcycle that was taken by the police. They then learned that the one who did the shooting was one Gino Capuyan, cousin of Alex.

To recall, victims of the shooting last Monday around 5:00 am were Rio Concepcion, 37 and Mark Concepcion, 22, single, uncle and nephew respectively.

The two were shot after they had played a card game at a vigil near their house at Barangay Tambacan. As the game  progressed, Rio had an altercation with one of the players, later identified by the police as Gino per revelation of cousin Alex.

Inquest proceedings are now being done on the suspect.
