BUTUAN City — Thousands of pesos worth of suspected shabu contained in 13 plastic sachets were seized by authorities in Butuan City and in Tagbina town in Surigao del Sur province over the weekend in two separate anti-illegal drugs operations.
On Dec. 3 here in Butuan City, Anti-illegal Drug Unit (SAIDU) of the Butuan City Police Station 1 headed by Senior Insp. Agustin Navarro and intelligence operatives of Butuan City Public Safety Company conducted a buy-bust operation which resulted to the arrest of Dante Bernas Burdeos, alyas Nonon, 40, and resident of Purok 2, Barangay Maon, Butuan City
Seized from Burdeos’ possession were three sachets of suspected shabu with estimated weight of 1.7 grams and market value of P 20 thousand.
In Tagbina, Surigao del Sur, a buy-bust operation launched by the Caraga Police Regional Public Safety Battalion on Dec. 2 evening in Purok 3, Barangay Sto. Nino, Tagbina, Surigao del Sur caused the arrest of Jerome Briones, 24, single.
Seized from his possession were 10 sachets of suspected shabu estimated to be worth P100 thousand and paraphernalia.
